Crescendo Orchestra is Coole Music’s Intermediate orchestra conducted by Noreen McDermott. Students are welcome to join from the age of 10 if they have reached a playing level of approx. grade 2/3 (ABRSM). The orchestra meets every Tuesday from 6:30-7:30pm and performs a number of concerts every year. They regularly feature at the Coole Music Orchestra Festival and have an active exchange programme running with a young string orchestra near Oslo in Norway, the Nordberg Strykeorkester, who come to visit Crescendo Orchestra every second year with return visits by Crescendo Orchestra the years in between. Many friendships have been formed through this programme and exciting musical collaborations have been created this way.
